JAN BÖHME //
born in 1977 in Bonn, grew up in the Ruhr district in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. He studied bass trombone at the University of Music Cologne with Michael Junghans. Further trombone teachers were Charles Vernon, Christoph Schwarz and Ulrich Flad. He was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra and the “Junge Deutsche Philharmonie”, followed by temporary contracts with orchestras in Münster, Hagen and Duisburg before taking a permanent position as bass trombonist in the Gürzenich-Orchestra Cologne.
